How to Pay PTA Tax Online Mobile & Laptop
If you buy a mobile phone from abroad, or it is not registered in Pakistan, you must pay PTA tax to use it with a local SIM card. The good news is that you can easily pay this tax online using your mobile or laptop. PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) checks and approves all mobile phones in Pakistan. If your phone is not approved, you must pay a tax to register it. This tax goes to the FBR (Federal Board of Revenue).
How to Pay PTA Tax Online Using Mobile:
- Open your mobile browser (like Chrome).
- Go to: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs
- Tap on “Sign Up” if you don’t have an account. Otherwise, log in.
- Fill the form with your name, CNIC, and email.
- After login, select “Individual CNIC” under Type.
- Choose “Mobile Registration (DIRBS)”.
- Enter your device IMEI number (You can get it by dialing *#06#).
- Fill in all the required details and submit.
- You’ll get the tax amount after a few minutes or hours.
- Use e-payment options like 1Link, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, or bank app to pay.
How to Pay PTA Tax Online Using Laptop:
- Open any browser and visit: https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk/drs
- Click on Sign Up or Login.
- Use your CNIC and email to register.
- After logging in, click “Mobile Registration”.
- Enter your IMEI number (from your mobile phone).
- Submit the form and wait for the tax calculation.
- Once you receive the tax amount, log in to your bank account online or use any 1Link partner to pay the tax.
- You’ll get a confirmation message once the payment is successful.
How to Confirm Registration?
- Visit https://dirbs.pta.gov.pk
- Enter your IMEI number
- It will show if your device is Registered or Blocked
